Invoices labelled as Direct Compliance relate to adjustments resulting from changes in the number of users associated with your products. These charges are applied in accordance with the terms of your contract where the applicable product is priced based on user numbers or is subject to usage-based increases.
📌Note: A Direct Compliance charge may be generated when the number of users recorded against a product exceeds the number included within your existing contractual agreement. The charge accounts for the additional user(s) above the contracted allowance.
For example, if your agreement covers 50 users and the recorded usage subsequently increases to 51 users, a Direct Compliance invoice may be generated for the additional user.
The value and period of a Direct Compliance charge are therefore determined by:
Contractual user allowance – the number of users included within the existing agreement.
Change in user count – the number of additional users recorded above the contracted allowance.
Applicable billing terms – including the agreed price per user, with the additional charge calculated on a pro-rata basis from the date the additional user was recorded until the end of the relevant existing billing period, ensuring that the additional user is aligned with the billing period of the existing agreement.
Direct Compliance invoices therefore do not represent a separate product or service. They are adjustments to the existing agreement to account for user numbers exceeding the contracted quantity during the relevant billing period.
